Iran. After high school, she began studying cinema directing at “Soureh University ’’. In 1998, she gradated and received a BA degree in the field of cinema directing. Since 1996, she has worked in the international section of the Iranian Young Cinema Society for promoting and distributing Iranian short films and presenting them in different film festivals and cultural events. She has worked in the international section of Tehran International Short Film Festival and also as the member of selection committee of the international section. Besides all these activities, since 2003 she has been the Head of International Business for marketing Iranian short, feature and documentary films for both Iranian Young Cinema Society & Documentary and Experimental Film Center. Jury member at the 19th International Hamburg Short Film Festival, Germany 2005. She is a member of selection committee at the international section of CINEMA VERITE, Iran International Documentary Film Festival and also Head of International Market of Iran Doc Market of the Festival. He earned his high school diploma in photography and cinema (1990) and his BS in Agriculture Engineering (1995). He later studied filmmaking in Italy (1999) and Cultural Finance in France (2005). He worked as a film critic, screenwriter, and producer from 1990 to 1998. Then he made 10 documentaries and short films, and 3 documentary series, which won national and international prizes. His feature 35 mm documentary film "Teheran Has No More  Pomegranates" was selected in more than 30 international festivals, received 3 Best Director prizes and 2 Best Film prizes, and was nominated for Cinema Eye prize as the Best Documentary of the year at IFC in NY 2009. This film had a successful theatrical release in US, Canada, Poland and finally in Iran. He has worked for National Iranian TV and IRIB since 1971 as a camera operator. Also  he  has  worked  in  French TVs  and  private companies as freelance cameraman for 10 years in Paris. He  has  worked  in  the  international  section  of  the Documentary & Experimental Film Center (DEFC) and IRIB programs, as a subtitle translator since 1993.
